New Zealand is a great county for caring about nature and people. Here has many amazing sceneries, landscapes, and also many sheep and cows. However, when natures are overwhelming people, Kiwis are not longing for a luxurious life or materialism anymore.
It affects the consumer’s behaviour and fashion trend in New Zealand.
Kiwi loves to wear even second-hand clothing from thrift shop such as salvation army, hospice shop, vinnies, red cross and a lot of second-hand stores in every local centre.
Those shops are encouraging people to recycle their clothing by installing the recycling bin in front of the shops. New Zealand community people love to pick fitted jeans to their body also the unique patterns of clothing randomly.
This thrifting lifestyle was settled in kiwi’s lifestyle now, and I can say that most people do not just throw away their clothing, but also they are participating in the raw material circulations.
We are really connecting the denim source from where a pair of jeans came from to the upcycled denim backpack on label.
We are taking advantage of this raw material culture from New Zealand as it allows us to gather and collect the second-hand jean and communities can contribute for the donation on the website and it makes easy to track the denim source through us Cheong Ba-G!
